Coldplay is a British pop-rock band from London formed in 1996. They have released 8 studio albums including the double LP Everyday Life in 2019.

Some of Coldplay’s biggest singles include “Yellow”, “The Scientist”, “Clocks”, “Speed of Sound”, “Fix You”, “Viva la Vida”, “Paradise”, and “Hymn For The Weekend”. They are one of the most popular bands of all time to come out of London.

After the band released “A Head Full of Dreams” in 2015, they went on tour and then had talked about taking a long hiatus or not putting out anymore studio albums. That rumour was put to rest with the announcement of the new album in 2019. Coldplay announced the album in a letter sent to fans, calling the album “sort of how we feel about things”.

In 2021, Coldplay returned with Music of the Spheres. It featured the singles Higher Power and My Universe with BTS. MotS was produced by Max Martin.

The 2020 Everyday Life tour was supposed to be Coldplay’s first since the 2016-17 “A Head Full of Dreams” tour. That tour had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coldplay returned in 2022 with the Music of the Spheres tour instead. That tour was extended into 2023, 2024, and 2025 with dates around the world.
