SoFi Stadium Summary
Sofi Stadium is a sports and entertainment complex in Los Angeles, CA. This 70,000-seat stadium is almost 5 km away from the Los Angeles International Airport. It occupies the former site of the Hollywood Park Racetrack.
Opened in September 2020, SoFi Stadium is home to two NFL football teams – the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams. It is also home to the annual Los Angeles Bowl in college football.
Outside the SoFi Stadium is a 2.5-acre plaza between a 6,000-seat open-air performing arts venue and the stadium. There’s also a lake with waterfalls and landscaping significant to Southern California.
There are so many things that make SoFi stadium unique, including an LED screen on the roof that air live TV to passing airplanes and a large and hanging video screen that’s larger than the football pitch. Plus, three-quarters of the stadium lies underground.
On February 13, 2022, this fixed-roof stadium hosted Super Bowl LVI and will host WrestleMania 39, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and other events in 2023.
