Soldier Field Summary

Soldier Field is a popular stadium and home to the Chicago Bears since 1971. Located in the heart of Downtown Chicago, Soldier Field hosts a few events and concerts throughout the year. Renovated in 2002, but originally built in 1924, this stadium is a gem for NFL games.

Soldier Field features around 74,000 permanent seats and 30,000 temporary seats. Soldier Field hosted its first event on October 9, 1924. The event saw more than 90,000 spectators watching an athletic meet for police officers.

In 2002, the stadium received major renovations. Every seat in the stadium was overhauled and new technology advancements were installed. The Chicago Bears are the major tenant, but concert events are held at the stadium throughout the year as well.

Headed to Soldier Field to see your favorite team? You will get the greatest viewing experience in United Club seating (sections 206-212 and 306-312).

United Club seating also includes a private lounge, two open-air kitchens, eight full-service bars, a Bears Pro Shop, 127 indoor TVs, and specialty drink stations. You can expect up close and personal experience at United Club seats regardless of where you are standing. Every game day, United Club also offers complimentary autographed drawings.

All fans must adhere to the stadium policies, including posted instructions and health and safety policies. Fans should also present their vaccination cards, wear nose masks, and maintain other COVID-19 protocols.

ATMs are located in areas like Dr Pepper Patio located in the South Courtyard, North Garage Level 3 and outside Gate 10, Section 350, North Garage near the Bears Pro Shop, inside Gate 38, and United Club Section 314 and 100 Level.

Items allowed into the stadium include:

  • Medical bags for accompanying patron

Finding a good place to park your vehicle can be stressful for any event, Soldier Field is not an exception. In the official parking lots at the stadium, parking rates cost between $16-$65. If you are able to reserve a parking lot, you can park your vehicle for as low as $24.

Before making payment, compare prices and search for dozens of spots, then make your booking. Parking passes include redemption instructions and directions.

Another great option is to park at the Millennium Park and Grant Park garages. These facilities charge between $30-$35 on game day. They offer shuttle service to the stadium. The proximity to the stadium will help you navigate post-game traffic and also help you make a quick exit.
