Metallica is a hard-rock / heavy metal band from Los Angeles formed in 1981. They are one of the most influential heavy rock bands of all time, selling over 110 million copies of their records worldwide. Their latest album is Hardwired to Self-Destruct, released at the end of 2016.
Some of the songs Metallica is best known for include “Enter Sandman”, “One”, and “Whisky in the Jar”.
Metallica set out on their WorldWired tour starting in 2017. They extended the tour throughout 2018 to give more fans the chance to enjoy their live show. After that, the group was quiet for a few years and through the pandemic. They returned with new tour dates planned for 2022.
At the end of 2022, Metallica announced a new album and world tour called M72. That tour would run through 2023, 2024, and 2025.
